Lash Taping Tips

When it comes to speed with lashing a few taping technique will help with that.

One technique that helps with isolation is by placing the tape underneath the extensions then lift it up towards the lid. The natural lashes will end up popping out and this makes it easier to glue the extension onto the natural lash. And you can repeat this step until you’ve lashed all the natural lashes.

Several Taping Techniques

A second technique also helps with isolation for a certain area of the eye and keeps the fan away from the natural lashes that you want to work on. With this technique what you want to do is tape the fans to the left and then to the right showing the natural lashes in the center.

Third technique is great if your clients natural lashes are too close to the tape or eyepad. This can be a little frustrating if the natural lashes are too close to the eyepad because there is a good chance that the extensions will end up getting glued to the eyepad. If you have these issues, a good method to use is by taping the eyelid on each corner of the eye slightly upwards and lift the lashes up. Keep in mind that you don’t open the eye too much as to avoid the fumes going into the eye and irritating the client.

Fourth tip is for those stubborn inner corner. What you want to do is get a tape and place it in the corner of the eyelid and lift it diagonally until the lashes in the inner corner have lifted.

This last tip is great if you know that your client will start tearing up during the appointment. What you want to do is tape the bottom lash by placing the tape on one corner of the eye first and then the other corner to ensure you tape all the natural lashes down. If your tape is more transparent you can place an eyepad on top of the tape that will help you see the natural lashes better.
